Meet ALEXANDRETTA! This gorgeous sweetheart is a ~2-year-old, 50 lb, female Pitbull Terrier Mix (just a guess).

Alexandretta melts your heart! Those soulful eyes! The way her golden brindle gleams in the sun - just STUNNING! If you've seen the movie Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade where Sean Connery finds out the name of the unknown city is Alexandretta, the way he says it with excitement and love and like he is seeing an old friend for the first time in a long time (see attached clip) - THAT is how we felt when we first met Alexandretta.

She is playful yet calm, sweet and snuggly, and just a doll. She walks well on a leash. If she pulls a little, she listens and will slow down by your side. Alexandretta knows "sit" and "wait". She is also great in the car! Storms do not bother her. We have not had an opportunity to test her with other dogs off leash, so for now we would say she should be the only canine love in your life. However, Alexandretta is fine with other dogs when on walks and has been in a boarding facility surrounded by dogs and paid them no attention.

Three to four good walks a day are perfect for Alexandretta - she is not a marathoner. She is soooooo sweet and is happy being by your side. After a long day at work, imagine taking Alexandretta for a little jaunt and then plopping down on the couch with your bestie all snuggled up next to you. Your cares will disappear.
