Mission

Survivors for Strays is a 501(c)(3) pending non-profit, animal rescue organization dedicated to saving animals that are homeless, neglected, abused, or about to die in an open-access animal shelter. Animals feel joy, pain, grief, and love. We are determined to help people be mindful of that and learn to value these lives to always treat them compassionately as part of the family.

We are committed to providing a safe haven for those furry family members who are in dire domestic abuse situations and need a temporary home in order for domestic abuse victims to leave safely and with peace of mind.

Who We Are

At Survivors for Strays, we believe in the incredible power of the Human-Animal Bond and its ability to change lives. Our volunteers, supporters, and community come from all walks of life.

We are all ANIMAL LOVERS who believe in our Mission and the extraordinary bond we share with animals.

Some of us are Survivors & Thrivers of domestic violence, cancer, PTSD, sexual abuse, and other traumas whose furry family members, or other animals, helped us through some of the most difficult times in our lives. Now, it is OUR turn to save innocent, precious lives like the ones who helped save us.

Others are FRIENDS and FAMILY members of Survivors & Thrivers, advocates, and people who simply want to help save animals and give them the safe, loving lives they deserve.
