🐾 Leave a Legacy of Love
We’re thrilled to be taking an exciting step with you as we build out our very first facilities:
1. A cozy, healing haven for cats and kittens in the Jefferson Park neighborhood of Chicago. Naming a room is a meaningful way to celebrate your love for animals while playing a direct role in expanding our life-saving work together. Each space in our new home will offer safety, comfort, and care (with a huge helping of fun and love) to cats and kittens in need.
2. A safe, joyful space for dogs in need, where tails wag freely and healing begins. We are considering three suburban spaces and need your help to secure one. There will be Naming Opportunities to provide a heartfelt way to honor your love for animals while helping us grow our life-saving mission. Every room in our future facility will provide comfort, care, and a new start (plus plenty of belly rubs and squeaky toys) to dogs who deserve a second chance to thrive.
Your generous gift not only helps make this dream a reality – it leaves a lasting imprint on every tail wag, every purr, every cuddle, every snuggle, and every happily-ever-after that begins within these walls.
Explore our naming opportunities below (that come with other exclusive recognition benefits - mentioned on the website, at events, on social media, Newsletter, etc.) and leave a legacy on a space where lives are transformed every day.
***Once we secure our new space for pups - with your support, we will soon unveil detailed Naming Opportunities. In the meantime, all donors who contribute $1,000 or more will be eligible for a special Naming Legacy, with meaningful options to choose from as soon as our new space is confirmed.***

Other Great Ways To Save A Life:
🎨 Pawtraits with Purpose
Honor your beloved pet with a beautiful custom painting—and help another animal find safety.
Survivors for Strays has partnered with a talented local artist to offer something truly special. With a $100 donation, you’ll receive a custom, hand-painted portrait of your dog or cat, based on a photo you provide.
Here’s how it works:
🐾 Your pet’s portrait will be proudly displayed at our Rescue Center for one month - adding love and color to our walls.
🐾 We’ll also feature your name and your generous gift in our monthly newsletter and on social media.
🐾 After the month is up, we’ll send the portrait to you to treasure forever.
Not only do you get a meaningful keepsake, you help provide safe shelter, food, and care for animals in need. Your gift helps cover our monthly rent, so you’re literally helping us keep the lights on and the doors open.
We’re only able to accept 10-12 portraits per month, so secure your spot now!
Currently, we are able to accept only 15 portraits per month, so secure your spot now!
Click the link to reserve your Pawtrait and select “Dog Care Center” or “Cat Care Center”. After you submit your donation, email your favorite picture of your furry family member to: pawtraits@survivorsforstrays.org.
🐾 Become a Paw Print Patron
Honor a beloved pet, celebrate a furry friend, or remember a rescue who left paw prints on your heart. With a $100 donation, we’ll create a custom-engraved paw print plaque displayed on our Wall of Wags and Whiskers in our new facility and visible to all who enter. It will be displayed permanently, and you will receive recognition on social media the month you donate, as well as in our end-of-year Newsletter.
Your tribute helps save lives — and becomes part of our rescue home forever.
